Shawano

Shawano is a city in Shawano County, situated on the southern shore of Shawano Lake in the heart of Northeast Wisconsin. The lake covers roughly 6,400 acres and anchors the city's outdoor recreation identity, offering boating, fishing, and waterfront access that draws both year-round residents and seasonal property buyers. The name Shawano derives from an Ojibwe word, and the area's Indigenous history remains present and active.
