Fish Creek

Fish Creek is an unincorporated community within the Town of Gibraltar on the western shore of the Door Peninsula, situated between Ephraim to the north and Egg Harbor to the south. It sits at the edge of Peninsula State Park, one of the most visited state parks in Wisconsin, which puts residents and seasonal homeowners within walking distance of 3,776 acres of forest, bluff trails, beaches, and a golf course that operates inside the park boundaries.

The commercial heart of Fish Creek runs along Highway 42 and down to the harbor, with a concentration of galleries, restaurants, and live performance venues that give the community an arts identity unlike most small Wisconsin towns. The Peninsula Players Theatre, one of the oldest professional resident summer theaters in the United States, has operated here since 1935. The Gibraltar Area School District, named for the township that contains Fish Creek, serves the local student population.
