Pulaski

Pulaski is a village spanning portions of Brown, Shawano, and Oconto counties, roughly 20 miles northwest of Green Bay on Highway 32. The village is named after Casimir Pulaski, the Polish military commander who fought alongside American forces in the Revolutionary War, and that naming reflects something real about the community. Polish immigrants settled this part of Northeast Wisconsin heavily in the late 1800s, and the heritage they built here has remained visible across generations in the parish churches, the family names, the festivals, and a cultural identity that most small Wisconsin villages simply do not have.
